TANZ KARLSRUHE präsentiert: Medienkunst und Tanz
La Comédie Virtuelle ist ein virtuelles Theater, das für TANZ KARLSRUHE seine digitalen Türen öffnet. In Zeiten der Pandemie, die Reisen und soziale Begegnungen einschränkt, wird La Comédie Virtuelle zu einem inklusiven und einladenden Raum für digitales Publikum.
Es ermöglicht den Besucher*innen die digitale Kopie des neuen Gebäudes der Comédie de Genève zu besuchen. Wie in einem realen Theater kann sich das Publikum treffen um das Gebäude zu besichtigen, sich auszutauschen und die Performances in Echtzeit anzuschauen.
Die Gilles Jobin Digital Dance Company wird darin um 16 Uhr ihre Liveshow performen. Direkt im Anschluss ist die Karlsruher Tänzerin und Choreographin Charlotte Bell eingeladen an der ersten internationalen MoCapDance-Begegnung teilzunehmen. Damit sie live im virtuellen Theater zusammen mit anderen Tänzer*innen improvisieren kann, wird sie im Motion Capture Studio der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe tanzen. Virtuell dabei sind Tänzer*innen aus Indien, Australien, China und der Schweiz.
La Comédie Virtuelle ist ein Erlebnis für bis zu 50 Besucher*innen, in dem diese von dem Platz aus miteinander verbunden sind, an dem sie sich befinden. Es kann über VR-Brillen oder den Desktop angeschaut werden. Dabei werden die Besucher*innen im virtuellen Theater durch Avatare repräsentiert. Zugang über VR oder Desktop möglich. Kompatibel mit Oculus Rift, Rift S and Quest with link cable, HTC Vive sowie über PC und Mac Desktop.

La Comédie Virtuelle is a virtual theatre, that will open its digital doors for TANZ Karlsruhe. In a time of sanitary crisis, travel restrictions and limited social encounters we imagine La Comédie Virtuelle as an inclusive and welcoming space for digital audience. Just like in a real theatre, they can gather together to visit the building, interact, assist to performances in real time and experience the digital embodiment. La Comédie Virtuelle is the digital model of La Comédie, the main theatre institution, built recently in Geneva.
The Gilles Jobin Digital Dance Company will perform their live show in real time. Right after, the dancer and choreographer Charlotte Bell from Karlsruhe is invited to participate in the first international Motion Capture Dance Encounter. To improvise together with other dancers (India, Australia, China, Switzerland) in real time, she is going to dance in the Motion Capture Studio of the University of Music Karlsruhe.
La Comédie Virtuelle is a multi-user social experience accessible in VR and with desktops computers. The audience is connected from where they are and will be represented as avatars in the virtual theatre. Compatibility: La Comédie Virtuelle is accessible in virtual reality and desktop. Oculus Rift, Rift S and Quest with link cable, HTC Vive PC and Mac desktop.
Registration: Create an account on https://gateway.comediedigitale.ch Make a reservation on the preferred timeslot. A few days in advance you’ll receive via email the link for the application you need. Download the app and install it on your computer. Please notice that it could take some time depending on the speed of your internet connection. It can take up to one or two hours.
